Workshop Speakers:
Mr. Albert Leung is the Senior Business Development Executive of Hong Kong Cosmetic Technical Resources Centre. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and possesses a broad background in the application of China Import Hygiene Permits for cosmetics, regulatory affairs and cosmetic sciences & development engineering. He is also Executive of CMA Testing Laboratory, Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Cosmetic Society of Cosmetic Chemists, part-time tutor of cosmetic science courses for Institute of Professional Education and Knowledge of Vocational Training Council, course controller of diploma of Cosmetic Studies and Management jointly organized by CUSCS and HKCTR, columnist for local cosmetics media and member on editorial board of Euro-Cosmetics Magazine.
Daniel Bone, Practice Leader, Consumer Markets, Datamonitor
Based in Sydney, Daniel is a Practice Leader in Datamonitor’s Consumer Markets Business Unit, with responsibility for overseeing Datamonitor’s global Consumer Insight research. In doing so, Daniel manages the research and production of more than 60 syndicated research reports per year—most of which are global in scope, but also include detailed Australian coverage. Daniel’s research has heavily focused on consumers’ dietary attitudes and behaviors, including a pertinent report published in October 2010 titled ‘Weight Management Trends & Behaviors: Beyond Dieting & Obesity’.
Andrew Jacka has been involved the Spa sector since 1995. Originally working in kitchens of award winning restaurants in Australia, England, Hong Kong & Thailand, his passion now is for the Thai Spa industry, having been involved in much of its growth and development over the last 16 plus years. His company, based in Bangkok, was awarded ‘Asia’s Leading Spa Consultancy 2007’ by the World Travel Awards committee, a prestigious award of international recognition, which is voted online by 167,000 travel agents in 200 countries. In May 2009 he was elected as Chairman of the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition, a group of 17 Asia Pacific countries uniting to grow the industry on a regional basis. Andrew is also an Executive Director of the Tourism Technology Association.
Patrick Rea, Publisher, Nutrition Business JournalPatrick Rea is Publisher and Editorial Director of Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ) a market research, publishing and consulting firm serving the nutrition, natural products and alternative health care industries. Rea is also the Co-Chair of The NBJ Summit, an exclusive retreat for CEO-level executives in the nutrition industry. Patrick also leads Penton’s Club Industry group, which includes a leading tradeshow, website and magazine for fitness professionals. Rea has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Organizational Behavior & Management and Geological Sciences from Brown University.
Ogawa Mika, President, VION Group Ltd.Ms. Mika Ogawa is the president of Vion Group Co., Ltd, . a Japan based strategic consulting company focusing on general food, nutraceutical food, health supplement and cosmetic industries in Asian countries. Mika, specializing in product marketing and regulatory affairs, gives customers advises on how to make inroads into Asia markets with a variety of products and brands. Having being a national athletic player in ping pong in her teens, which gave her an opportunity to work as an exchange teacher in Beijing Foreign Studies University in her twenties, she has been cultivating a deep and close relationship with Chinese people for a long period of time. She is an author of “The Guideline for Entering into Chinese Functional Food Market” and currently working on another book about cosmetic regulatory affairs in China.
Zheng is the Director of Foods and Cosmetic Testing Centre of Guangdong Province (GDCTC). Apart from that, he is also the administrative Deputy Director of China Cosmetic Quality Assurance Committee (CCQAC), the Editorial Director of China Cosmetic Quality Report Magazine under MOH and the Technical Specialist for cosmetic testing and standards in China.
Rich Chin was graduated from Tokyo Mode Gakuen Fashion University, studying Image design, Make-up and Hairstyle Professional. He has been engaged in fashion modeling make-up work in Japan, France, USA and other countries since 1995. Rick won the most famous artist for 3 continuous years. From 2007, he started to study relationship between natural, herbal, mineral and beauty, and present the concept to public.
